For The Sound of Collarts, I knew from the beginning that the track itself would function as a collage, built from samples recorded across the different faculties. Because of that, I wanted the cover artwork to mirror the same idea visually. I was tasked with representing the different faculties while reflecting the diversity of Collarts’ students and staff, so I developed a collage made up of individual visual elements symbolising the various disciplines across the college, all brought together to form one larger symbol. Out of my initial concepts, a Heart felt like the most compelling choice, as it best captured the sense of connection, energy, and shared creative culture at Collarts.
