Creature Font
The Creature Font is a hand-drawn display type project built by turning letterforms into playful illustrated creatures. The project began with an interest in developing custom lettering by hand, drawing on influences from graffiti, strange animal forms, and the bold, playful character of Mr. Men illustrations.
Each letter was first sketched traditionally, then digitised and coloured, with a focus on keeping the forms simple enough to stay legible while still letting each character feel expressive and distinct. The final outcome became a vibrant alphabet system full of personality, designed to feel intriguing, humorous, and visually memorable, with potential applications across titles, apparel and playful branding.
